Fedora Servers and Colocation
Fedora in Dedicated
Fedora Linux (previously known as Fedora Core) is an RPM-Based distribution of Linux that is both free and open source. Developed by what's known as the Fedora Project community and officially sponsored by Red Hat, Fedora is very much a close derivative of Red Hat Linux.
Development on Fedora Linux happens very quickly - every 6 to 8 months, Fedora receives a major update. The dedicated community behind Fedora Linux and the support of RedHat means a very fast developing and feature-rich operating system. This has made Fedora very popular as a desktop Linux distribution, however slightly less so for server administrators who tend to prefer consistency over change when possible.
VPS and Colocation
As such a fast growing and feature-rich operating system, Fedora tends to be extremely good at adapting to new environments. For example, Fedora tends to be very popular in our Virtuozzo private server (VPS) solutions, as well as a recommended option to work with virtually any type of server colocation hardware.
